CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- A chrysanthemum exhibition opens recently at Chongqing Wanzhou Xishan Park, and the pleasurable scent of the flowers are everywhere in the beautiful autumn day of Wanzhou. The unprecedented event saw 200,000 pots of chrysanthemum from 100 species displayed.

Traditionally admired in Chinese culture, chrysanthemum has been synonymous to honesty and integrity since thousands of years ago, as it blossoms against the freezing wind and the morning frost. Through careful preparation for the exhibition in advance, the Xishan Park is now a sea of chrysanthemums. The colorful flower are seen everywhere in various shapes. When it is sunny, a water spraying system works intermittently, and the occasional misty spray creates a dreamlike fairyland effect.

The chrysanthemum exhibition is featured with its rich plant and chrysanthemum sculptures, including models of elephant, dolphin, mushroom, whale, sunflower, butterfly, peacock, sea turtle, flower column, flower ball and lantern. There is much more variety than the previous year.

The venue for precious chrysanthemum, another feature of the exhibition, is in Jingyuan. All chrysanthemums are precious species and each pot deserves to be appreciated on its own.

The month-long exhibition hosts over 100 species of chrysanthemums, with the total number exceeding 200,000 pots. (Translated by Yang Lifu, Fathom Language Limited)
