CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The 2018 Wansheng Qingshan Lake Runner’s World Festival and Summit kicked off at Wansheng Qingshan Lake National Wetland Park. Upon hearing the starting pistol, over 600 runners rushed towards the finishing line.

The competition had two events: a 5-kilometer race and a 10-kilometer race. Well-integrated with the first “Farmers Harvest Festival”, the event also presented a bumper crop carnival taking advantage of the produce ingeniously. At the main stage, contestants can not only enjoy the hot ciba cake -- a traditional Chinese cuisine food of cooked glutinous rice pounded into paste, they also have a chance of winning a produce gift pack in a lucky draw.

At 9:18, a foreign participant reached the finish line the first in the cheers of the audience and volunteers, winning the 5-km men’s race with the score of 17’53’’; Li Siqing took first prize in the 5-km women’s race. Foreign players won both the men’s and women’s 10-km races.
