2018 China Tour Men's Professional Golf Tournament opens in Chongqing

Players taking part in the China Tour Men's Professional Golf Tournament visit the Nanshan Yikeshu Scenic Spot.

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The 2018 China Tour Men's Professional Golf Tournament, a top-tier event that has been held for the past four years in Nan’an, Chongqing, has kicked off officially. Golf players Ouyang Zheng, Zhang Xinjun, Kim Beomsoo, Lee Jaewon, Zhuang Zhu, Wang Dongyu, Hu Diandian and Yang Yinong went to Nanshan Mountain and Nanbin Road, in two tourist routes that are unique in style yet distinct with each other.

In the morning, four players started their journey to the Nanshan Mountain. They experienced every aspect of Chongqing, a mountainous city, by visiting places such as Caribbean Camp Base and Spring, Yikeshu, Laojun Cave and Huangge Gudao.

Yikeshu is on the Nanshan Mountain and on the south bank of the Yangtze River, opposite of the main urban areas. The whole scenery of Chongqing can be seen looking out from Yikeshu. Huangge Ancient Footpath, a mountain trail, is built in the Tang Dynasty. In the ancient times, merchants traveling between Sichuan and Guizhou must go though this trail, which also is used by mongers of salt and tea. It is regarded as the Chongqing Silk Road.

Kim Beomsoo, a Korean player for the event, said that it is the third time he is in Chongqing. The city has a beautiful urban design and he loves the construction, scenery, culture as well as gourmet food. He loves spicy food and food in Chongqing.
