CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Have you noticed that the Chongqing–Wanzhou passenger dedicated railway is in its second year? A recent celebration took place at Wanzhoubei Railway Station as the Chongqing–Wanzhou passenger railway turned 2. Not until many of the passengers saw red banners, various colorful balloons and photo cutout boards did they realized that it had been 2 years since the railway began its operation and joined the celebration with pleasure.

Chongqing Passenger Section made extensive preparation for the 2-year celebration of the railway. They decorated the C6403 train and left a railcar to carry out all sorts of events and activities. After the train set off, the train conductor revealed a giant birthday cake on a trolley and shared it between the passengers, celebrating the convenience and pleasure brought by high-speed transportation.

The Chongqing–Wanzhou Railway is an intercity railway line dedicated to passengers, connecting southwestern and northern China as well as Zhongyuan. With a running time of 70 minutes, the railway brings Wanzhou in the “Chongqing economic area”. 

“The Chongqing–Wanzhou Railway saves our time significantly, especially its regularized departure time, I am able to see my son in Chongqing whenever I want. I used to travel inter-city, now it becomes intra-city, so it is pretty convenient,” said Mr. Tao, who lives in Wanzhou. He spoke highly of the dedicated railway joyfully while enjoying the birthday cake.
