CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- At 11:36 a.m. on December 2, as Mr. Liu and his family on MI972 from Singapore to Chongqing successfully passed the Inspection Station at Chongqing Airport, Chongqing Airport finished the 3 millionth international travel reception in this year. According to the Border Inspection Authority of Chongqing, it also marks the number of arrivals and departures of Chongqing port hit a high annual record.

In 2018, Chongqing airport has received 9,000 visits a day on average, and the peak passenger flow during the summer vacation and holidays has reached an average of 12,000. Among them, the top five outbound travel destinations for Chinese citizens are Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan; the top five inbound travel destinations for foreigners at Chongqing are South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and America.

Chongqing Border Inspection Station has not only opened the intelligent and convenient customs clearance channels such as the self-service border inspection channel and self-printing machine of arrival-departure record successively, but also implements “tidal inspection” on passenger flow changes through the Big Data Analysis of the inbound and outbound passenger flow to pre-judge the changes within a month. According to the changes, they can arrange the first-line duty police force scientifically and adjust the proportion of the manual inspection channel and self-service border inspection channel timely to ensure the high efficiency of 7x24 hour customs clearance.

Chongqing Border Inspection Authority also said that in order to further improve the utilization rate of self-service clearance channel and broaden the applicable personnel for the self-service channel, Chongqing Border Inspection Station officially began to implement the self-service clearance information collection and registration work for the airline crew members in Chongqing, so that not only the inbound and outbound passengers can use the self-service inspection channel, but the accompanying crew who have registered at the border can also use it to save the preparation time for the on-time takeoff and landing.
