CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The reporter has found that Zhang Xicai, the painter from Hechuan, was painting on the natural pebble at home with brush and pigment as if the pebble wears "colorful clothing”.

"I’d like to turn natural pebbles into beautiful art works.” Zhang Xicai said while painting on pebbles with his brush. There are many natural pebbles along the banks of the Jialing, Qujiang and Fujiang Rivers in Hechuan and he plans to create "stone paintings” with the full use of natural pebbles.

The traditional Chinese painting is painted on the pebble by Zhang Xicai like the style of mountains and water, figures as well as flowers and birds, including the works “High Mountain and Running Water”, “Koi” and “Civet”.

Pebbles unknown in the past time are full of spirituality as soon as Zhang Xicai draws something on it. Zhang Xicai told that he did this just for fun and if someone likes it, he’d like to give it away.
