CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The audience is familiar with the Hayao Miyazaki and the image of "Totoro", but this classic animation film “My Neighbor Totoro” hasn’t be shown in cinemas of Chinese mainland before. After 30 years, the film “My Neighbor Totoro” which is digitally restored with the leading of Miyazaki Hayao will be first shown on December 14 in Chinese mainland.

Directed and written by Hayao Miyazaki and scored by the famous composer Jou Hisaishi, the film “My Neighbor Totoro” first run in Japan in 1988, and by right of the cute and interesting role images as well as the warm story touching the heart, it has raised a rush of “Totoro” all over the world. It tells a family story full of warmth and childlike interest that Satsuke and her younger sister Mei move into a new house with their father because their mother is ill in hospital. After that, they meet many elves and become friends with a magical Totoro.
