CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Let’s run a marathon against the winter chills. Last weekend, 2018 Chongqing Yuelai Eco-run was opened at the Yuelai International Expo Center, and 3,000 runners shared this delightful eco-run event.

Chongqing Yuelai Eco-run has been held for two consecutive sessions. This year, the event has two projects of 5km eco-run and 10km eco-run. Both runners who like running and citizens who wants to mobilize the whole family can enjoy the fun of sports. At the same time, the organizing committee also sets up a parent-child group and a couple group, and the scores are counted as 5km individual score.

“Shengtaige”

As a running activity suitable for the whole family general mobilization, Yuelai Eco-run has attracted many runners to play with creativity each time. The “Shengtaige”, which has been popular in the DIY style for two consecutive years, came to the scene again this year. Cabbage is made into a hat and a variety of common natural items are matched. The “Shengtaige” not only dressed up personally, but also shared the secrets of health with the runners. "Look at the words on the clothes. They are spelt by orange peel and grapefruit peel. Ginger seedlings around the waist are planted by myself. It can be cooked as vegetables, and used to bath feet for dispelling cold in the winter." Although the “Shengtaige” is 64 years old, he has completed 12 half-marathon events. He said that his speed is not comparable to young people, but he hopes to convey the optimistic and positive spirit to the runners, and the concept of eco-environment protection.

The eco-run attracts runners from all over the country, and the foreign players from Kenya, Ethiopia, etc. also came to the scene to compete. In the end, champions of the 10km men's group and the 5km men's and women's group were all obtained by foreign players.
