CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, 2018 Chongqing STEAM Youth Innovation Competition Middle School Group Final and Awarding Ceremony ended in Yubei Middle School of Chongqing. During the competition, 15,332 students participated in the STEAM comprehensive quality assessment.

A total of 10,712 people from 875 schools in 25 districts and counties participated in the competition. The competition lasted for 3 months. A total of 30 projects in the middle school group entered the finals, including 10 creative model works and 20 intelligent creative works.

The final of the middle school group was carried out in the form of on-site production, display and expert question and answer. Each team needs to complete the construction of the work as required within the time limit, display and answer questions from experts on the spot. This is to comprehensively examine the innovation ability and completion of the teams.

According to reports, this competition is opened to the teacher group for competition for the first time, which sets up a rare communication platform for STEAM first-line teaching. In addition, the open topic is adopted for the student group competition, which provides the contestants with unlimited creative space, and has difficulty in topic selection, in order to test the creative ability of the contestants.
