CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Masangxi Yangtze River Bridge under the moonlight, Turpan boy holding a big cake, smiley old man with gray beard, shy country girl biting tongue... These scenes are captured by photographer Liu Jian. Recently, “Instruction: Cross-century Exhibition of Liu Jian’s Photographic Works” was opened at Chongqing Art Museum, and 88 selected photographic works that have been exhibited in various countries were presented.

Liu Jian is a member of the Society of Worldwide Ethnic Chinese Photographers Ltd and a member of the China Photographers Association. No matter traveling in a foreign country or lingering in China, he can always, in terms of scenery, humanity, concept or documentary, talk with the world affectionately and sincerely through the scenes in the camera aperture, and pours his personal emotions and thoughts to beautiful or deep, subtle or dignified pictures. This helps show the sense of reality and weight of history while presenting beauty.

In this exhibition, 88 selected works of Liu Jian created at the intersection of the 20th century and the 21st century were exhibited. These works have been exhibited in the United States, France, Britain, Spain, Sweden, Ireland, Norway, Germany, Argentina, Romania, Serbia, India and other places.

The exhibition will last until January 3, 2019 and is open to the public for free. (Translated by Bai Fengling, Fathom Language Limited)
