CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Chongqing people, your attention please! In order to ensure a safe Christmas Eve and New Year, Chongqing police officers will carry out traffic safety control measures in Yuzhong, Jiangbei, Nan'an, Shapingba and Jiulongpo Districts on December 24th, 25th and 31st.

It should be noted that while the police is implementing traffic control, the number of buses into the business district will decrease at the same time. The rail transit won’t stop in some rail transit stations within the business district under control.

It is understood that the control area involves Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, Hongyandong，Paradise Walk in Yuzhong District, Guanyinqiao Pedestrian Street, Jiujie, Liujia Wharf, Jiangbeizui in Jiangbei District, Three Gorges Square and Xijie at Daxuecheng in Shapingba District, Yangjiaping Pedestrian Street, The Mixc in Jiulongpo District, Nanping Pedestrian Street, Danzishi Old Street, Longmenhao Old Street in Nan’an District.

In the above control area, no cars are allowed in the lane parking space or in commercially-built parking space (garage) from 10:00 to 02:00 of the next morning on December 24th, 25th and 31st.

From 18:00 on December 24th, 25th and 31st, the number of public transport vehicles entering the business district in Yuzhong District, Jiangbei District, Shapingba District, Jiulongpo District, Nan'an District, etc. will be reduced. From 19:00, vehicles and people are not allowed in the direction of Yuzhong District from Dongshuimen Bridge and Qianshimen Bridge. No vehicles other than the public transport (empty) are allowed to drive in the direction of Jiefangbei from Lianglukou, Yihaoqiao intersection, North Bridge Head of Yangtze River Bridge, Kaixuan Road intersection and Mianhua Street intersection.

From 20:00 on December 24th and 25th, from 19:00 on December 31st, Line 1 won’t stop at Xiaoshizi Station, Jiaochangkou Station, Qixinggang Station and Lianglukou Station in Yuzhong District, Xiaolongkan Station and Shapingba Station in Shapingba District; Line 2 won’t stop at Jiaochangkou Station and Linjiangmen Station in Yuzhong District; Line 3 won’t stop at Lianglukou Station in Yuzhong District, Huaxin Street Station, Guanyinqiao Station and Hongqihegou Station in Jiangbei District; Line 6 won’t stop at Xiaoshizi Station in Yuzhong District, Grand Theater Station, Jiangbei City Station and Hongqihegou Station in Jiangbei District and Shangxinjie Station in Nan'an District.

The shopping malls within controlled areas will close one hour early on December 24th, 25th and 31st.

At the same time, the police reminds that Combustible and explosive goods such as inflatable rods (swords, hammers), beer cans and hydrogen balloons as well as other items that endanger public safety are forbidden to be brought into the controlled area. The aircrafts which fly slowly at low height such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) are prohibited in the controlled area without prior approval.
