CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Dashiba Station of Line 5 is put into use on December 24, which means the north section of Phase I of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 5 with 10 stations is open compeletely.

The 16.42km north section of Phase I starts at the Garden Expo Center Station in the north and ends at Dashiba Station in the south, with 10 stations constructed along the Line.

Dashiba Station, located at Hongshi Road, Jiangbei District, is a single arch double decked island-platform subway station in the underground. It is adjoined to Dowell Shopping Center and many large-scale residential districts, like Dowell D7, Dowell D8, Shouchuang Hong’en and Huarun Central Park.

The 6 entrances and exits are set respectively. The 1A, 1B, 3A and 3B will be opened this time, while entrance-exit 2 and 4 as the long-term reserved ones are not to be opened. Among these entrances and exits, 1A leads to Jiangbei Dashiba Sub-district Office; 1B leads to Dowell D8; 3A leads to Dowell Shopping Center and Dowell D7; and 3B leads to Hongshi Road. Bus stops are next to these entrances and exits, at which passengers can transfer. 

The service time of Dashiba Station is from 6:30 to 22:30 in line with that of Line 5. The running interval is 8 minutes during rush hours in workdays, while 11-minute running interval during off-peak hours in workdays and throughout the weekends.
