Bus-priority lanes from Jichanglu, Sigongli to Caiyuan available

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The Traffic Police Brigade of Chongqing Municipal Public Security Bureau said that bus-priority lanes from Jichanglu (Xinpaifang Interchange to Shuangfengqiao Hub Station), Sigongli to Caiyuan section have been officially put into operation. By then, the operation mileage of the bus lane in the main urban areas is to reach 105 kilometers.

The starting and ending of bus-priority lane at Jicahnglu are Xinpaifang Interchange and Shuangfengqiao Hub Station respectively, through the main roads such as Hongjin Avenue and Jichang Road as well as other important traffic nodes such as Renhe Interchange and Donghuan Interchange. With a total length of 19.7 km (one-way), it has 8 two-way lanes, is run by 27 bus routes along the line, and carries 476 vehicles.

As an important passageway connecting the inner ring of core areas between Jiangbei Airport, Yubei Road and Liangjiang New Area, Jichanglu has huge average traffic flow daily, so traffic policemen have formulated management and operation measures different from others. First is about the type of running vehicles. The passenger cars with more than 9 seats and yellow license can run in the lane within a special period. Second is about the special period. The lane is the special one for buses and passenger cars with yellow license at 7:30-8:30 and 17:30-18:30 (the morning and evening peaks) in working days.

The starting and ending of bus lane for Sigongli to Caiyuan are Sigongli Interchange and Chayuan Light Rail Station respectively, through the Inner Ring Expressway and Sigongli Interchange to Chayuan Interchange and Yuma Road. With a total length of 8.6 km (one-way), it has 11 bus lines, 132 buses, and 4 bus stops along the way. The special traveling time for buses at bus lane is 7:00-9:00, 17:00-19:00 in working days, allowing bus and passenger buses with more than 20 (including) to pass.
