CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to the Chongqing Transportation Holding (Group), the Union of Chongqing Tourism Distribution Center has been established consisting of 74 road and water passenger transport enterprises. The union will open the door of the "last kilometer" for tourist attractions by introducing traveling modes like through travel bus.

At present, 23 long-distance bus stations, such as South Square of Chongqingbei Railway Station, Caiyuanba, Chenjiaping, Sigongli passenger station as well as that in some districts and counties, have launched the "passenger travel + tourism travel" service, and run several tourist routes increasingly via the establishment of tourist distribution centers in the station and cooperation with scenic spots and travel agencies, with an annual total of 4 million trips.

The person in charge of the union said that the transportation resources always are not made full use by the operation of a single distribution center due to the lack of passenger in some routes. However, the establishment of union can enhance the sharing of tourist routes among various passenger stations and integrate the passenger sources on the same route of multiple passenger stations. At that time, tourists can buy tickets and wait bus at the nearest station for passengers. Then buses will take tourists to the tourist destination in turn, which not only reduces the complexity of transferring, but also makes rational use of transportation resources.
