On July 12, the flood peak of Yangtze River, Jialing River and Fujiang River passed Chongqing, causing severe damages to Taihe Town, Hechuan District.

Flood is heartless while people are sentient. People trapped by floods were transferred under the help of militiamen and volunteers. In the busy rescue scene, militiamen and volunteers carried the disabled old men on the back, picked up wrapped babies and supported the people who needed help.

On August 2, with the successful construction of the last short rail track, the connection between rail loop line and Chaotianmen Yangtze River Bridge was completed, which meant that Chaotianmen Yangtze River Bridge was officially brought into the Chongqing rail transit network.
