CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The rail transit Loop Line (northeast half loop) and Line 4 Phase I began trial operation at Haixia Road, Nan’an District on the morning of 28th. The vehicle slowly moving out of the Haixialu Station marks the operation mileage of Chongqing Rrail Transit (CRT) has been reached over 300km in the Midwest ahead so as to enter a new stage.

This Loop Line, an important part of CRT network, is the only closed loop line in Chongqing. This northeast half loop (Chongqing Library - South Square of Chongqingbei Railway Station - Haixia Road) connects Shapingba District, Yubei District, Jiangbei District, Nan’an District and Liangjiang New Area with total length of 34km. It’s invested 22.2 billion yuan and has 24 stations, of which 17 are open this time, namely: Chongqing Library Station, Shapingba Station, Shazhengjie Station, Yudaishan Station, Tiyugongyuan Station and Ranjiaba Station, Dongbugongyuan Station, Honghudonglu Station, South Square of Chongqingbei Railway Station, Yulu Station, Wulidian Station, Tushan Station, Shangxinjie Station, Haitangxi Station, Sigongli Station, Nanhu Station and Haixialu Station, and the remaining is to be run in the future. There are 7 transfer stations in the half loop line, which can transfer with 6 rail transit lines - for Line 1 at Shapingba Station, for Line 5 and 6 at Ranjiaba Station, for Line 4 at Min'an Avenue Station, for Line 3 and 10 at South Square of Chongqingbei Railway Station, for Line 6 at Wulidian and Shangxinjie Station, for Line 3 at Sigongli Station. Its initial operation time is 7:30 to 20:30 with one-way operation time of about 52 minutes.

The Line 4 Phase I, one of the crucial lines of CRT construction network, communicates with Chongqingbei Railway Station, Lianglu/Cuntan Free Trade Port Area, Gangcheng Industrial Park and other key areas. With the total length of 15km, it’s invested 8.6 billion yuan and has 9 stations in total, among them, 7 stations are operated this time - North Square of Chongqingbei Railway Station, Toutang Station, Baoshuigang Station, Cuntan Station, Heishizi Station, Taipingchong Station and Tangjiatuo Station, and the remaining will be opened later. It sets up 2 transfer stations - for Loop Line at Min'an Avenue Station and for Line 10 at North Square of Chongqingbei Railway Station.
