CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, a calligraphy and painting exhibition, themed as “Development of Chongqing Expressway to Greet the 40th Anniversary of the Reform and Opening-up” was held at Chongqing Wangqi Art Museum. About 200 works show the rapid development of Chongqing expressways. The exhibition will be opened to the public for free until January 27, 2019.

Works exhibited ranging from the static expressways to the people on expressways, the construction to the operation, show the rapid development of Chongqing expressways from various perspectives.

By the end of 2018, Chongqing expressway mileage reached 3,096km, with 20 inter-provincial passages constructed. Centered on “Three-year Action Plan” for Chongqing transportation construction, “density” is stressed in the construction. By 2020, 1,000km of expressways will be completed, 1,000km will be started and preparation work for constructing 1,000km of expressways will be developed. By 2020, expressways mileage will reach 3,800km, the density of expressway network will achieve 4.6km per hundred square kilometers, inter-provincial exits will reach 27 and the coverage rate of rural expressways will be up to 75%.
