CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The 2019 China Spring Festival Shopping Consumption Report was released by JD Daojia. According to the data, purchasing power of Chongqing consumers ranks No.7 among cities in China. Dongguan, Shenzhen and Chongqing are the top three cities with the fastest growth in purchasing power. In consumers’ age structure, people born in the 1970s and 1980s are main force to do Spring Festival shopping online. Purchasing power of people born in the 1990s surges because they enter the workforce and have families. The consumer demand of females born in the 1990s is strong particularly.

The favorite Top 5 goods are fruits, milk, snacks, rice and drinks. Outdoor products, home furnishings and decorations for traditional festivals are Top 3 with the fastest growth in sales.

The price sensitivity on fruits is decreasing. The fair-price sugar orange and expensive cherry have the same market share because fresh and delicious fruits in small packages are sold well.
