CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- As the “Jiaoyun Ferry 09” departs from Fengqituo Wharf in Dazhulin, the Dazhulin-Chaotianmen ferry route officially opened on January 22. The whole journey is about 22 kilometers, running for about 70 minutes, with sightseeing fare of 20 yuan.

8 times a day & sightseeing fare of 20 yuan

The starting of Dazhulin-Chaotianmen ferry is Fengqituo Wharf of Dazhulin and Jiaoyun Second Wharf of Chaotianmen respectively. It’s operated eight times a day. Among which, four times from Dazhulin to Chaotianmen leave from Fengqituo Wharf at 7:30, 11:20, 14:00 and 16:40 and other four times from Chaotianmen to Dazhulin leave from Jiaoyun Second Wharf of Chaotianmen at 9:30、12:30、15:30、18:00.

“The Dazhulin-Chaotianmen ferry route is not only a trace for sightseeing, but also a road on water.” During its business days, the fare only is sold 5 yuan per person for the time departing at 7:30 from Dazhulin and at 18:00 from Chaotianmen, and you can buy ticket at the ticket office on the pontoon or pay by traffic card to go board. Other times whatever in business days or in holidays are charged 20 yuan per person and you can purchase ticket at travel agency near Chaotianmen Wharf or at points of sale around Fengqituo Wharf of Dazhulin.

There are floor-to-ceiling windows and comfortable sofas in the cabin of first floor.

Unique ferry route serves you the scene of light rail passing through building

“Jiaoyun Ferry 09” has two decks, one as rest area with soft sofa seats; another as sightseeing area with wooden benches and platform for visitors to enjoy river scenery without blind angle.

Driving to Chaotianmen, “Jiaoyun Ferry 09” will pass through the Chongqing popular scenic spots and landmarks, including Ciqikou, Liziba Station of Line 2, Likely Wharf, Qiansimen Bridge, Hongyadong, and Chongqing Grand Theatre. “This is the only ferry route in Chongqing that you can see the scene of light rail passing through building on board.” the staff said.

Chongqing Passenger Liner Co., Ltd. released that there will be a terminal at Ciqikou for the ferry in the future. The ferry can direct to Ciqikou after the Chaotianmen stop, at that time, more ships will be put into use.
