Beijing to see more exit-entry passengers during lunar new year holiday

BEIJING, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- More than 1 million exit and entry passenger trips are forecast to be recorded via Beijing exit and entry frontier inspection stations from Jan. 29 to Feb. 10, up 4 percent year on year, sources said Tuesday.
The number of outbound passengers will peak from Jan. 29 to Feb. 4, according to estimates by the Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection.
The entry passenger volume will peak on Feb. 9-12.
Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection is gearing up to cope with the increasing passenger volume during the upcoming Spring Festival, or Chinese Lunar New Year, holiday.
It said new equipment and measures to facilitate the smooth flow of passengers at exit and entry frontier inspection stations would be put into place to ensure passenger safety.
