Citizens are visiting Shancheng Lane.

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The root-twisted ficus virens is vital and green; Shancheng Lane is illuminated when night falls; newly-married young couple look forward to happiness and old granny is silently washing potatoes... Recently, hundreds of photos of old Chongqing were displayed in an old building in Shancheng Lane, Yuzhong District.  

All these works are displayed in three separate display units: image/lane introduction exhibition, family album exhibition and exhibition of old city landscape images. It is the extension of 2018 Chongqing (International) Image Cultural Festival. The blockbuster “Urban Space Outdoor Image Exhibition” on last year’s Cultural Festival was the first to abandon the traditional display way of image exhibition, but combined the old building’s façade with photos and became one with the scene and space to make people personally on the scene. 

Among the three units, some influential modern image artists and new photographers are invited to the image/lane introduction exhibition to show people the determination of Shancheng Lane to make innovations through these artists. 

Every small things and every photo on the family album exhibition are related with the original residents of Shancheng Lane, recording their daily life there. This exhibition miniaturizes the life in old Chongqing. While the 26 works themed on Old City on the exhibition of old city landscape images present every bright day and the past of Chongqing.
