Ciqikou Ancient Town with busy scene and crowed people

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Last year, Ciqikou Ancient Town received 11.864 million person-time. In response to peak passenger flow during the Spring Festival this year, it has extended its reception range and will properly control the number of tourists in core scenic spots, optimize the travelling routes, and improve the tourist experience.

Management Measures: to control the visitor number and traffic

One-way traffic for driving in or out of scenic spots: Huangjueping Paifang is as the main entrance of scenic spots with the one-way traffic only for entering from 9:30 to 17:30 every day during February 4 (Chinese New Year's Eve) to February 10 (the sixth day of first lunar month); Jingrongmen near the Ciqikou Station of Line 1 is as the exit with the one-way traffic only for leaving; the door of Qingshuimen only for leaving is the main entrance for self-driving tourists, and Longyinmen Paifang is the exit; and the person is controlled at the section of Xiahe Road.

Barriers at the entrance in order to access orderly: from February 4 (Chinese New Year's Eve) to February 19 (the fifteenth day of first lunar month), the main entrance of Huangjueping Paifang is set up snake-shaped barriers so tourists should enter slowly and orderly. From 9:30 every day during February 4 (New Year's Eve) to February 10 (the sixth day of the first lunar month), tourists need to enter the scenic area under the guidance of staff in accordance with the real-time condition. After 9:00 every day, wheelbarrows, scooters, motor vehicles and non-motor vehicles aren’t allowed to enter the scenic area so as to ensure the safe and orderly travel of tourists.

Loop routes for visiting the old streets: from February 4 (Chinese New Year's Eve) to February 10 (the sixth day of the first lunar month), it is recommended you to follow the 3 routes for visiting old streets, including T-junction of Baoshan Palace – Gaoshikan - Jinrongmen, T-junction Baoshan Palace - Xiaochongqing Stele – Longyinmen – Qingshuimen - Shaci Lane, and T-junction of Baoshan Palace - Xiaochongqing Stele – Stilted Buildings -Cihuang Street – Caijiawan. Each of them is used one-way travel and forms a small loop respectively. Single way for going up or down is adopted in the stairway of Longyinmen according to real-time passenger flow, so you should pay attention to the sign and to the guidance of scenic staff.

What’s more, the special tourist buse routes have been opened from Ciqikou to Yangtze River Cableway (T002), Ciqikou to Red Slag White (T003), and Ciqikou to Chongqingxi Railway Station (T033).
