2019-03-05 14:13:42

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Yangrenjie, also known as Foreigners’ Street, was officially launched its relocating work as the stone tablet of Disorderly Road Street toppled down on March 1. It is a carrier of Chongqing people’s wonderful memories related to youth, family affection, friendship and love, and has accompanied Chongqing people for 13 years. Now, it’s time to say goodbye. Parting is for a better meeting, though there are disappointing memories and feelings.

At 10 a.m. on March 1, the relocating work was officially launched as the collapse of Disorderly Roar Street. The whole work will be divided into 4 phases and be completed on November 5.

Some parts not suitable for moving will be demolished, and the retainable parts will be relocated to Fuling Red Wine Town.

Over the past 13 years, it attracted thousands of visitors with its affordable amusement facilities and imaginative architectural styles, becoming the “friendly amusement park” of Chongqing people.

There are many visitors though on weekdays. Young people were screaming in the high altitude entertainment.

Looking down from the cable car, the water park looks somehow desolate for it used to be a summer resort for Chongqing people.

Some stores were still opened during the relocation to welcome and see off the last visitor.

Mantou (steamed buns) here is a foot long, weighing 7 taels or so, just selling for 1 yuan. Its price keeps the same over the past 10 years, which becomes a brand here. Stores will be moved to business streets nearby to serve people after the relocation of Yangrenjie.

Slogans will not be renewed after the relocation. How many do you remember among 650 slogans over the past 13 years? (Translated by Mao Qiao, Fathom Language Limited)
