CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The “Transverse Skyscraper” of Chongqing Raffles City Project has gone viral on the Internet recently. This project, located at Chaotianmen, Yuzhong District, consists of 6 towers with a height of 250m and 2 towers with a height of 350m. A 300m-long “Transverse Skyscraper” with a gallery-bridge structure was constructed on 4 towers steadily. Chen said that 2 towers among 4 supporting towers were built by them.

In June 2017, the construction of first support T3S Tower was firstly completed. On T3S Tower, there are about 4,000 pieces of steel structure, about 30,000 meters high-altitude welding and wires for welding which can wind around the earth four circles. For the tower is sail shaped, surfaces of the north and the south are cured, with a maximum angle of inclination to the north is 14° and a maximum angle of inclination to the south is -10° making a 24°change in total, which is rare seen in China.

In December 2017, the construction of second support T2 Tower and T3N Tower with a height of 350m was completed. It is worth mentioning that the total height of 2 decorative hanging columns added to T2 Tower reaches 85.5m. When constricting 2 columns, workers made use of the existing steel reinforced concrete and combined with the temporary steel support to form the self-stabilization, which saved a lot of materials and the construction period.

At present, workers are doing internal finishing to two supporting towers. (Translated by Mao Qiao, Fathom Language Limited)
