Zhongshan Taihe Terraced Fields in Jiangjin

It’s recorded that it was formed since people in the Song Dynasty cultivated fields on slopes continously. There is a story about land reclamation and cultivation in Jiangjin. The mountain here is mostly mud-stone landform with many gaps between stones and loose soil, which makes it difficult to make fields. So people there used some tools like crabstick, crowbar and hoe to fill in gaps and build field ridges, after which the terraced fields were created finally.

Dishes: Rice with tofu pudding, glutinous rice cake made on flagstone and smoked tofu

Entertainment: Zhongshan Ancient Town, about 10km away Taihe Terraced Fields, is full of special ancient stores like smithy and General store.
