CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Last weekend, best-selling author Zhang Pu came to Chongqing for his new book JE NE PENSE QU’ À ALLER À PARIS to share the image of Paris and Chongqing in his mind at Yanyouji Bookstore, Chongqing Times Square.

Paris, a city resisting the passage of time

Zhang Pu intermittently recorded some travelling stories about Northern Europe for the domestic media when he studied in Norway ten years ago. Since then, travelling and writing have become a part of his life. During ten years, he has visited Paris at least twenty or thirty times as he was on business or travelled. Writing what he has seen about Paris to those who need it is his original intention for creating the book.

This is his fourth book, which is based on his real experience whatever travelling, living and working in Paris in the past 10 years. Via pictures and words, it narrates the story happened in Paris and makes reader be in it.

In addition to writing about feelings and history, Mr. Zhang provides many practical tips for travelers. For example, in this book, he introduced the way to kill afternoon when it rains in Paris, to go to the dessert shop or the museum which cannot be found easily by a tourist himself.

Chongqing, a vigorous city

Zhang Pu completed his undergraduate and master's studies in Southwest University and during the seven years, he spent his best time as a young man in Chongqing. So, for him, Chongqing is a special place although he has visited and recorded many cities.

Chongqing is a vigorous city, said Zhang Pu. Except for the "three-dimensional" image, Chongqing is with the “vigorous” character. You hardly can see the above two points together in other cities. "No matter where you go in Chongqing, you can find pleasant things. You can gain the feeling that the city is within reach even you just go to eat a hot pot or walk along the river.” (Translated by Jiang Yuling, Fathom Language Limited)
