CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum, the “Exhibition of Golden Pig to Celebrate Chinese New Year” was widely praised after its launch, making the exhibition extend to March 17, 2019. So you can pay a visit here as soon as you can.

From the domestication of domestic pigs, more than 200 exhibits were used to show the domestic pig breeding history and derivative culture of China over thousands of years to visitors. There are pig bone remains of the Neolithic Age, pottery pig in the Han Dynasty and Jade pig in the Jin Dynasty. Visitors can enjoy fine skills of intangible cultural heritages like the paper-cut art and prints. 

You can see a round jade pig of the Qing Dynasty with 9.5m length, 5.2 width and 6.3 height at the exhibition, which looks round and cute, but shows the image of wild boar. You can also see the pottery pig of the Eastern Han Dynasty unearthed at Wushan Starch Factory, Chongqing, which are in different shapes, vividly reproducing the farm scene at that time.
