Sea of Rape Flowers, Qingfengli, Yongchuan

In March, rape flowers in Qingfengli are in full bloom. As soon as you enter Qingfengli, you will see a great world covered with rape flowers. The rape flower festival in Qingfengli has been opened, in which you can appreciate rape flowers and country performances, enjoy oil extracting and wine making process, and take a hot air balloon.

Eating delicacies in Yongchuan

Jiudawan (a kind of feast with 9 bowls) in Ancient Town

Jiudawan at Songji Ancient Town is must-eat in Yongchuan, including crispy fried pork, sweet glutinous rice balls, shaobai and others.

Daan Tuotuorou (mutton) 

Fine and fresh lamb chops of local black goats are chosen as the main ingredients. It’s great to eat a piece of mutton with a piece of white radish for the spicy taste.

Wujian Liangbanji (chicken salad)

Local chickens, green peppers and other seasonings are used in this dish, making white tender chicken soaked in red oil chili after delicate preparation. People who favor spicy food will love this dish.

All-Bamboo Feast in Tea Mountain Bamboo Forest 

You can eat green and healthy food there, like Jiaoyan Zhuchong (spicy fried larvae of bamboo borer) and Xianjiao Zhumaodu (bamboo fungus pileus with fresh peppers), tea, wine and refreshments.

Xinghuyu (fish)

It’s a famous dish in the west of Chongqing because wild fish in Weixing Lake is cooked with well water from Huanggua Mountain to ensure the original flavor of ingredients.
