CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- With a theme of “Forest & Education”, the 7th International Day of Forests is to come on March 21, 2019. For that, the Chongqing Forestry Bureau plans to carry out a series of thematic activities from March to August.

There are a number of charged forest tourist areas like forest parks, nature reserves and scenic spots to be free for you soon.

From March 21 to 23 (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) this year, there are 15 charged forest parks, including Shizhu Huangshui, Fuling Wuling Mountain, Nanchuan Jinfo Mountain, Pengshui Maoyun Mountain, and Wuxi Hongchiba, and excluding Chongqing Little Three Gorges National Forest Park, Chongqing Youyang Taohuayuan National Forest Park, Chongqing Yongchuan Taohuayuan Forest Park, as well as 18 forest tourist places like Jinyun Mountain National Nature Reserve, Changshou Lake Scenic Area and Jiangjin Simian Mountain Scenic Area to be open free of charge. 

Among them, Jinfo Mountain National Forest Park (Jinfo Mountain Scenic Area) will be open free for one more day, and Hongchiba National Forest Park will be open free before the end of May this year. Meanwhile, the Chongqing Taisiya Forest Park sells its full-fare ticket with a 50% discount in these three days. More importantly, you can visit free at 92 forest attractions like Gele Mountain National Forest Park and Chongqing Xiuhu National Wetland Park throughout the year.

However, the person in charge of the Chongqing Forestry Bureau said that you need to pay the fee like for accommodation, paying entertainment projects, sightseeing cars, cableways, buses, and some parking lots.
