CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Jiandingpo – Bishan Rail Line will be put into operation this year. At that time, it will link with Line 1 through the operation, connecting Chaotianmen to Bishan.

This section is a suburban rail line, with a total length of 5.480km, including 3.534km underground, 1.819km overhead and 0.127km subgrade. There is one station in total, which is a viaduct bridge station and from which passengers can transfer to the South Terminal.

According to Chongqing Rail Transit (Group) Co., Ltd., this section will enter into the equipment installation stage in June, start no-load test run in Mid-September and be fully put into service in December this year.

Line 1 is an important part of urban rail transit network, backbone of “The Nine Lines and One Loop” connecting Yuzhong District, Jiulongpo District Shapingba District, Bishan District, mainly passing through Chaotianmen, Jiaochangkou, Lianglukou, Daping, Shiqiaopu, Shapingba, Shuangbei, Daxuecheng and other passenger flow areas.
