CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- In spring, the Tiaodeng River attracted many people for its sparkling water, lush trees and blooming flowers on both riverbanks. Photos took by people were liked by their friends in Wechat Moments.

This river, a tributary of the Yangtze River, runs through Jiulongpo District and Dadukou District. It once became smelly and dirty due to enormous industrial and domestic sewage discharge. From 2017, Jiulongpo government invested 1.458 billion yuan to implement 2 phases of comprehensive treatment project to this river. This river nowadays is beautiful with clean water.
