"Looking Chongqing" by 10 foreign youth directors with camera lens

2019 “LOOKING CHINA Chongqing Youth Film Project” was presented, and 10 foreign youth directors handed over their documentary “works”.

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Tongliang Dragon Dance, Jiaotong Teahouse, Chengdu-Chongqing Railway, Jingangbei Ancient Town, Eling Testbed 2... In the past two weeks, 10 foreign youth directors from Italy, Spain, Slovakia, Poland, Palestine and Romania, based on the theme of “Moment, Season, and Time”, walked through streets and alleys, searches for customs and scenery, and recorded beauty and food. After many days of hard work, they have completed 10 short documentary films with different contents and styles, which shows the profound connotation of Chongqing culture from the perspective of foreigners and tells the Chinese story to the world.

Recently, the presentation ceremony of 2019 “LOOKING CHINA Chongqing Youth Film Project” was held. The 10 works have appeared in different topics, various stories, unlike characters and diverse photography ways.

Among them, the work "Chasing" of Barbara Di Giuseppe is about the "Past and Present History" of the national intangible cultural heritage Tongliang Dragon Dance. She said, "When the sparkle of the fire dragon rushed to me, I was not afraid of. Instead, I felt so lucky that I could see the charm of Chinese traditional culture and record it."

Andrea Valero went to the Jiaotong Teahouse to observe the life of the most authentic Chongqing people by observing the day of the Jiaotong Teahouse, and handed over his “works” – “View of Tea”. And the young Italian director Serini Saveri pointed his camera at the Italian Zhang Luca in Chongqing. In the work "Chili and Italian", he elaborated the "fate" between Zhang Luka, a food disseminator, and Chongqing chili.
