CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- More than 30,000mu of Dazu loquat has gotten ripe in early summer, welcoming the best fruit harvesting period. The Chongqing Dazu 12th Loquat Tourism Culture Festival has officially opened, and you can pick loquat until May 30.

The area of loquat planting in the whole region is nearly 100,000mu, of which the core area accounts for 30,000mu. It can produce more than 20,000 tons loquat a year with an integrated output value of nearly 300 million yuan. It’s understood that the festival has been held for 11 sessions, attracting millions of tourists to taste the large, sweet, and juicy loquat with rich trace elements and high nutritive value.

The festival this year will be further improved and enriched on the basis of previous festivals, covering one main venue and five branches. In the Tianzuiyuan, the main venue with an area of 400mu, tens of thousands of loquat trees are planted, and you can pay fee 20 to 40 yuan per 500g to pick them. If you pick too many, don't worry, the sponsor has introduced express delivery service on site, so the loquat can be delivered home.
