CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- This great footpath full of Chongqing features is built on the ridge in the form of a sky corridor. During the May Day holiday, the sightseeing footpath on the ridge at Hutouyan Park, Yuzhong District became the representative of Chongqing local attractions.

Yuzhong Peninsula Park to be built

It is worth mentioning that Hutouyan Park will be connected with Hongyancun Park, Hualongqiao Park, Fotuguan Park, Eling Park and Liziba Park through footpaths and escalators to form the Yuzhong Peninsula Park together.

During the holiday, the reporter entered Hutouyan Park from Jingwei Avenue, and then the 4m wide sightseeing footpath came into view. Though it was near dusk, there was an endless stream of people strolling and shooting on the footpath.

Sightseeing footpath about 2.7km on the ridge

The first phase of the sightseeing footpath, about 1.9km has been opened, which ends near the intersection of Shiyou Road and Jingwei Avenue. Signs about mileage you walked and energy consumed are built in every 200m. Many unique landscapes combined with historic culture and landscapes nearby are created at viewing platforms.

For example, a viewing platform near the start point combines with Dayou Farm run by Rao Guomo in the 1930s. Former Site of Chongqing Office of the Eighth Route Army, Former Site of Building for National Political Council, Former Residence of Rao Guomo, and other historic buildings can be seen from the footpath. Coffee shops will be constructed at this viewing platform in the future.
