Yang Wu’neng, a famous German translator from Chongqing and a professor from School of Liberal Arts of Sichuan International Studies University, introduced that activities like the “Night of Grimm's Fairy Tales” could make the fairy tales he once translated alive. And through such activities, children may be more interested in “Grimm's Fairy Tales”, then they can read book voluntarily. In 2015, Yang Wu’neng donated many of his precious translation works, manuscripts and letters to Chongqing Library. The library specially set a hall called Yang Wuneng’s Literature Hall to collect, organize and display his works. The “Night of Grimm's Fairy Tales” is the activity which promotes precious collections in Chongqing Library to readers and restores the fairy tale environment in books for readers.
