CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- What’s your plan for the Dragon Boat Festival? According to the Organizing Committee of Chongqing Nanbin International Drama Festival, the 2nd Chongqing Nanbin International Drama Festival will be held from June 7 to 9. During this period, nearly 300 shows will be performed, and about 80% of which you can enjoy for free.

During this drama festival, a historic drama called “Recall Wangjiatuo” will be performed to illustrate “Chongqing - the first tourism destination among cities”. Adapting the mode of “immersive performance” and “performing in courtyards” and relying on the history of Wangjiatuo, this drama festival will tell stories of well-known businesses within the courtyard on the old street to you. On June 7, the opening day of this drama festival, this historic drama will be performed for the first time. And then, it will be staged on the old street every day.

Music, dance, drama, visual art, multimedia art and Sichuan Opera can be seen in this drama festival. Twenty-two performance groups from 8 countries like France, England and Russia will perform 1 play specially invited by famous directors, 6 youth performances, 228 domestic and foreign carnival performances and others. Various international dramas will be staged, like “Fish Fandango”, an English interactive drama showed on many world drama festivals, “Magic Duet”, a Ukrainian drama performed on Edinburgh International Festival for many times, and “Hand to Hand”, a French drama has won various awards in world circus festivals.
