The Press Conference of the 2019 Asian Grand Prix Series was held.

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The first and second rounds of the 2019 Asian Grand Prix Series will be held at Chongqing Jiangjin Stadium and Chongqing Olympic Sports Center on June 4 and June 7 respectively. At that time, you can enjoy the excellent performance from 164 top athletes in Chongqing.

The Asian Grand Prix, one of the top track and field events in Asia is held once a year. It is host by the Asian Athletics Association. More importantly, it is the first international track and field event undertaken by Chongqing after 1949.

There are 164 athletes from 18 countries and regions like Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Iran. Here, you can enjoy the performance showed by athletes including Wang Yu, the champion for men's high jump of Asian Games and champion of 2019 IAAF Diamond League (Shanghai), Mo Youxue, the member of China’s men's 4x100m relay team, champion of World U18 Championships and silver medalist for 4x100m relay of World Athletics Championships, and Liang Jinsheng, the member of China’s men's 4x100m relay team and champion for 4x100m relay of Asian Athletics Championship.

There are 17 events for men and women, of which, 9 are for men: 100m, 400m, 800m, 110m hurdles, 4x100m relay, triple jump, high jump, javelin and shot-put; 8 for women:100m, 400m, 800m, 100m hurdles, 4x100m relay, long jump, high jump and shot-put.

To make people have chance to enjoy top competitions, the Organizing Committee announced that the event would be open to the public free of charge at the Press Conference. You can go to watch it at Jiangjin Stadium according to the admission ticket issued based on your ID card at designated place; and go to Chongqing Olympic Sports Center by virtue of electronic admission ticket received through the official WeChat Public Accounts “重庆奥体中心” (Chongqing Olympic Sports Center) and “重庆体彩” (Chongqing Lottery), and on that day, you may need to come 2 hours in advance for checking electronic admission ticket.
