HEFEI, May 29 (Xinhua) -- A large ancient family tomb group and 51 relics dating back to the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) have been unearthed in Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui Province, according to the province's cultural relics and archaeology institute Wednesday.

Thirteen tombs and relics, mostly made of lacquered wood, porcelain china, gold and silver, were discovered during a road construction project in Hefei's Changfeng County.

The largest unearthed tomb of 120 square meters was believed to be a family tomb complex.

The unearthed bronze mirrors, white porcelain jars, celadon bowls and golden jewelery are of great value for researching the history of the Northern Song Dynasty, said experts of the archaeological team.
