CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- To celebrate the “World Environment Day” on June 5, an activity of "Blue Sky Protection Campaign, I Am a Doer -- Let's Practice Green Travel" was held in Liangjiang New Area last weekend. The “World Environment Day” was celebrated by 250 environmental volunteers by cycling and hiking green.

The theme of this year's World Environment Day is "Blue Sky Protection Campaign, I Am a Doer". To fit the theme, Liangjiang New Area has carried out various publicity activities with the theme of "Beautiful China, I Am a Doer".

Two hundred and fifty volunteers advocate green and low-carbon travel

In order to promote "Green and Low Carbon Travel", the sponsor organized 100 environmental protection volunteers to carry out the cycling activity, and 150 volunteers to carry out the hike activity. In this way, they hoped to advocate more citizens to actively devote themselves to the practice of building ecological civilization, further build consensus and take action to become practitioners of green lifestyle and doers in building a beautiful China.

At 10 am, volunteers set off from the Rongchuang Meiguityuan, Jinhai Avenue, along Binjiang Road of the Jialing River, Lijia, Liangjiang New Area, and returned to Jinwan Park, covering about 10 kilometers in total. "I am a cycling enthusiast, and I hope to convey the ecological and environmental protection concept of green travel, low carbon and energy saving to the whole society through today's activity.
