CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- After stopping working for eight years, the North Station of Jialing River Cableway in Jiangbeizui has changed its appearance with exterior walls painted newly.

Seen from the external walls, it looks different, but in fact, the matching color is basically unchanged. The station is undergoing renovation, and the inner walls and handrails have been renewed.

The Jialing River Cableway is the first urban passenger cableway across the river in China. The cableway was listed as the second batch of municipal cultural relics protection units in Chongqing in January 2010, and officially stopped to operate at 7:35 p.m. on February 28, 2011.

The project under construction here is to protect and utilize the building of North Station of Jialing River Cableway. This station will be turned into a cableway museum for people to visit. Parts and components of the Jialing River Cableway will be displayed here as cultural relics, and its cable cars will be considered as the treasure of the museum.
