CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Pang Xunqin, a well-known Chinese crafts artist, drew these vivid figure arts after studying the ancient Chinese decorative figures in 80 years ago. Then he both taught in many schools and held solo exhibitions in Sichuan and Chongqing. Now, the said figures are showed in Chongqing in form of the Exhibition of Pang Xunqin's Figure Art held at the Wang Qi Art Museum in Yuzhong District.

Pang Xunqin, born in 1906 in Changshu, Jiangsu Province, is an outstanding artist and craftsman in the history of modern Chinese art. In 1938, he studied the art of ethnic minorities as well as ancient Chinese decorative figures in Yunnan, Guizhou and other places, and finally painted the "Chinese Figures Collection" with four volumes in total. The Collection is an important part of the Exhibition.

"All these works by Mr. Pang are created according to the development history of ancient figures, so they integrate closely with history. Doing what said above needs the sophisticated skills and also is difficult," said by Wu Wenxiong, director of Pang Xunqin Art Museum which is the co-sponsor of the Exhibition while interviewed by reporter.

The Exhibition will be open to the public free of charge until July 4. (Translated by Jiang Yuling, Fathom Language Limited)
