CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Line 18 (former Line 5A) of Chongqing Rail Transit (CRT for short) is expected to be constructed in 2022, and its operation will effectively alleviate traffic congestion at the southern of the main urban areas of Chongqing at that time.

It has 19 stations in total along about 29-kilometer route. By the beginning of June, it has been retested for all piles and 9 construction passageways have been enclosed by something between Tanzikou Station and Huangjueping Station. The preparatory work has been steadily promoted.

It departs from Fuhualu Station to Tiaodengnan Station, passing through Xietaizi, Yangjiaping and Huangjueping, Baijusi, Funiuxi and Tiaodeng. Moreover, it crosses the Yangtze River via Jiudukou Yangtze River Bridge to Lijiatuo area and Baijusi Bridge to Dadukou area.

You can take it to interchange Line 1, 2, 5, 9, and 12 as well as Loop Line in the future, which connects Yuzhong District, Jiulongpo District, Banan District and Dadukou District in a more convenient way and promotes economic development and the formation of industry cluster areas along the route.
