Chongqing Airport ushers in the passenger flow peak
CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Since the summer vacation, the passenger number of Chongqing Airport gradually climbed. In the first week of the summer vacation, Chongqing Airport saw off 860,000 passengers with more than 6,100 flights taking off and landing, and 128,200 passengers with 927 flights on peak days.
In order to ensure the smooth travel of passengers during the summer vacation, Chongqing Airport is expected to take off and land 54,000 flights, with a throughput of more than 7.7 million passengers. It plans to add more than 10 new domestic and foreign airlines, and replace the wide-body capacity and encrypted flights on popular routes to meet the market demand of summer vacation.
In terms of domestic routes, during the summer vacation, a new route from Chongqing to Hotan has been in service, and a new route from Chongqing to Kashgar Via Aksu is planned, and the routes from Chongqing to Lhasa, Urumqi, Hefei, Shenzhen and Qingdao are encrypted. A large number of wide-body airliners have been added to popular routes. Chongqing flies up to 23 wide-body airliners to Beijing, Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai and other places every day, mainly Boeing B787 and airbus A330. In terms of international routes, Chongqing Airport will open new routes from Chongqing to Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam, and restore or add routes from Chongqing to Moscow, Singapore, Jeju, Aandalay and Da Nang to provide better travel experience for passengers.
