CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The "An Illusion -- Fine Jin Mirror Exhibition” was held in Nanpu Hall of Chongqing Three Gorges Immigration Museum, which was the first time the exhibition was held in southwest China. The exhibition will end on August 28, and people can visit the exhibition for free.

The "An Illusion -- Fine Jin Mirror Exhibition” once won the title of "Top 10 National Fine Cultural Relics Display in 1998" as part of “Jin Shangjing Historical Display". This exhibition displays 120 Mirrors from the period of Liao and Jin kingdoms collected by Jin Shangjing History Museum, including 48 third-grade cultural relics and 11 second-grade cultural relics.

The exhibition consists of eight units. The mirrors casting processed in Liao and Jin kingdoms were rough and thick, with various shapes and patterns and rich patterns. There were not only patterns imitating the patterns of Han, Tang and Song Dynasties, but also new patterns created by absorbing those patterns.

The exhibition will not only allow the audience to fully experience the traditional artistic charm of mirrors made in ancient Liao and Jin kingdoms, but also feel the ethnic characteristics, social customs and cultural connotations inherited by the mirrors. At the same time, it is of great significance to better commemorate and inherit the glorious history of Liao and Jin kingdoms and promote the cultural exchanges between north and south.
