CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- It’s learned that the right-line tunnel of the Tianli Road Station to Shapingba Station section of the first phase of CRT Line 9 was successfully opened. Previously, the bidding section (the 2nd bid of Line 9) was connected only the left line tunnel of Gaotanyan-Tianli Road. At present the construction of this whole section has been completed.

The right line tunnel of Tianli Road Station-Shapingba Station is a single-hole single-track tunnel with a total length of 985.050 meters. It is located near Shatiecun and Hongcaofang Primary School in Shapingba District. The surrounding environment is complex and has eight risk sources because the Chengdu-Chongqing Railway crossing, the Zhannanlu Tunnel, the municipal pipe culvert, the side-height high-rise building, and the upper cross-loopit TBM section are all integrated in this less than 1km section.

It is reported that the first phase of Line 9 starts from Xinqiao Station in Shapingba District, passing through Hualongqiao, Guanyinqiao, and ends at Xingke Avenue Station near Huixing in Yubei District, with a total length of 33 kilometers and a total of 25 stations.
