Xiao Xiao, 33, is from Pingdingshan, Henan Province. This is his first time to Chongqing. In Xiao Xiao's tourism plan, in addition to Hongyadong, Jiefangbei, Ciqikou and other popular attractions, it is must-go to see the light rail crossing building in Liziba, visit Eling TESTBED 2 and eat hot-pot in Nanshan.

Xiao Xiao said that the afternoon and evening are the main time to go out and play. For one reason it is to avoid hot summer; and for another, Chongqing’s night view and night market attract him. "We came from Wulong and Fengdu and plan to play in Chongqing for 3 days."

Some tourists said that they would choose a night tour in Chongqing, for boat trips and night views can’t be missed.

Li Mingxin from the northeast China said that Chongqing at night is more charming, and it is better for people to recognise the modern appearance of Chongqing. "I just went to a cooling area that was modified from a bomb shelter. We didn't even know it at our own hometown. Actually, all the big cities in China are the same during the day, but when the lights are turned on at night, Chongqing is special."

Local tourists love to play in water

If nonlocal tourists come to Chongqing to experience the light show of nightlife, what do local tourists like most? Playing in water--this is definitely the choice of most local people.

"If my kids are on holiday, they will come out to play in water." Ms. Huang, who lives in Yudong, takes two children to play in water here. The reason why she chooses the time between 16:00 and 21:00 is that the children need to attend the training class in the morning. The afternoon sunshine is not so strong, and it is cooler.
