Chongqing’s first cliff footpath with escalator

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- There is a high-quality cliff footpath in the mountain city. The Dahua Footpath connecting Hualongqiao and Jiukengzi, Daping was completed recently and opened to the public on 29th, which is also the first cliff footpath with escalator in Chongqing.

Dahua Footpath which is of 400-meter long starts at Jingwei Avenue, Jiukengzi, Daping, Yuzhong District, and ends at Ruitian Road, Hualong Bridge. It is a cliff footpath built along the mountain with a drop of about 100 meters. For the convenience of residents along the road, 14 escalators are set up on this walk, 7 for ascending and 7 for descending. It only takes about 10 minutes for citizens to travel from Hualongqiao to Daping by Dahua Footpath. It is worth mentioning that at the top of Dahua Footpath, beside the entrance and exit of Daping Jiukengzi, a new parking lot with an area of about 1600 square meters and about 40 parking spaces has been built.

It is not only very convenient for citizens, but also very beautiful for you to appreciate. The landscape greening area along this footpath exceeds 10,000 square meters. Walking along the Dahua Footpath, you can see many kinds of plants. Some of the walks are planted with bamboos, which are hidden in the depth of the bamboo forests.
