CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The 816 Underground Nuclear Project site, known as the "World's Largest Cave Body", has successfully listed as a National 4A-level Tourist Attraction, and Fuling District has made new achievements in the integration of culture and tourism.

The 816 Underground Nuclear Project site is located in Baitao Sub-district, Fuling District, Chongqing, which is close to Wujiang River and back to Wuling Mountain. It is a nuclear military theme tourist attraction with the background of the third-line construction history and the main underground project.

The 816 Underground Nuclear Project began in 1966 and lasted for 18 years. The project ceased construction in 1984 and was released after decryption in 2002.

It is worth mentioning that the whole project site is completely hidden in the inner part of the mountain, which is the world's largest artificial cave body. There are 18 large grottos in the cave, more than 130 roads, guided tunnels, branches, tunnels and shafts. The layout of the building is like a labyrinth.
