Winding around the Nanshan Mountain, the Longji Mountain Trail is popular among people.

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The maintenance and renovation project of Longji Mountain Trail is one of the top 10 people-benefit matters in Nan’an District in 2019. The renovation project of Longji Mountain Trail has been completed, so that the citizens have gained a safer and more comfortable environment for climbing and travelling.

Nanshan Trail System consists of 19 designed trails with different views and landscape nodes. Among which Longji Mountain Trail is the steepest from Nanshan Academy of Chongqing Technology and Business University. There are two paths in the mountain to get the top where a row of big rocks protrudes from the ridge. The image looks like the back of the dragon, so the name “Longji Mountain” comes. It is a good place for residents and students to have a relax and take a walk.

Before the renovation, some citizens said that there were potential safety hazards departing from the northwest due to the rugged road, steeper slope and without stone slabs on the road. It was also lack of leisure and entertainment facilities during the route. As a result, the Nanshan Eco-zone Management Committee launched a maintenance and renovation project for it.

Several landscape platforms have been built newly within the about 2km trail. The platforms are paved solid wood floors with leisure chairs, garbage cans and other supporting services. According to the current situation, the pavement of trail will be repaired, reformed, rebuilt or cleaned, including repairing or broadening the damaged or missing steps, preserving and protecting the existing characteristic landscape, installing protective fence and improving the leisure function and safety protection.
