Sino-European Champions Cup to be held in Chongqing

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The 2019 Belt and Road Sino-European Champions Cup will be held in Chongqing from September 20th to 22nd. Four Chinese and European basketball teams will compete in Yubei Stadium.

Recently, the Organizer revealed that the four teams include the 2019 CBA champion team - Guangdong Dongguan Bank, the 2019 CBA runner-up team - Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tiger Basketball Club, the Basketball Bundesliga champion team - EWE Baskets Oldenburg, and the Russian Basketball Super League A champion team- Nizhny Novgorod.

At that time, these four teams will present a wonderful showdown. It’s worth mentioning that the Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tiger Basketball Club will usher in the first show of Zhou Qi since he left NBA. Yi Jianlian of Guangdong Dongguan Bank will has a showdown with Zhou Qi of Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tiger Basketball Club on September 21st. Fans can watch the competition between Yi Jianlian and Zhou Qi before the start of the CBA new season.

Another two teams are also worth mentioning. Nizhny Novgorod from Russia won second place of Russian Cup in 2011, 2018 and 2019, and first place of Russian Basketball Super League A in 2010. EWE Baskets Oldenburg from Germany won the championship of Basketball Bundesliga in 2013 and German Cup in 2015.
